From cozy taverns to bustling streetsides, wedding receptions to backyard parties, and studio sessions to big stages — Mark Broadwell has been sharing his love of music with audiences throughout Southeastern Michigan for decades.

A lifelong musician and passionate performer, Mark has earned the admiration of fans and venues alike, building a devoted following everywhere he plays.

Mark’s musical journey started young — he picked up his first guitar at age 10 after learning the trombone, and soon added the electric bass to his growing list of instruments. By 16, he was singing along with his favorite records and quickly discovered his voice was meant for the stage.

After studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Mark went on to perform with well-known local groups such as Left Bank Express, Linear Expansion, Vintage, and The Space Cadets, while also developing a thriving solo career.

Today, with more than 40 years of experience as a vocalist, guitarist, and bassist, Mark continues to bring his signature sound to clubs, weddings, private events, public venues, and festivals — connecting with every audience through heartfelt performances and timeless songs.

Mark Broadwell explores all kinds of styles — from jazz and pop to acoustic, rock, country, folk, and funk. .

Over the years, Mark has shared the stage with an impressive list of local and national artists, including George Benson, Benny Reeves, Joe Smith, Davy Lazar, Mike Kneale, Dave Gadd, and Joe Chila — experiences that have shaped his dynamic and soulful approach to music.

Mark has performed regularly at some of Michigan’s favorite spots, including Cadillac Straits Brewing Company, Michigan By The Bottle, Blue Skies Brewery and Three Cats in Clawson. He’s also been featured at Berkley’s Art & About events and performs with talented ensembles like The Fundamentals, The Paul Parente Quintet, and The Mike Kneale Quartet.

Mark is an avid composer with a style that has been called, "Very cool. Very different!." His compositions have been performed by esteemed National and Detroit-area musicians and recorded in many studios. Mark is currently working on a follow-up to his first album, "Palomino."
